UFC on Fox 2:Evans vs Davis

So the next UFC event is upon us, it will take place January 28th in the US (Chicago) at the United Center.  This one will be broadcast on Fox and sadly for me and all the other people in the UK, it doesn't look like ESPN will be broadcasting it :(  Have a had a quick look over the fight card and none of the fights really stand out for me, the only fight i will be sad about missing is the main event featuring Rashad Evans.  Suppose i best wish Michael Bisping good luck though, he is English after all ha ha :)

UFC 142: Aldo vs. Mendes Results!

And so the UFC event 142 is all over and despite the slightly weak card in my opinion it was a very decent event!  Am glad 'The Phenom' Belfort managed to pull off the win after Johnson's failure to cut the weight limit, but was it really in doubt? Nah!  Not only did Belfort managed to defend to the highest standard when Johnson managed to pull off a few take downs, Belfort also submitted Johnson needing only the single take down! 

Other highlights involve Barboza's awesome KO via a wheel kick and the decision to disqualify Silva for alleged illegal blows to back of head (which i am not sure about but i guess the ref has to call it as he sees it.  Let me know what you thought of UFC 142 in the comments!  What was your favourite fight?  Anything you disagree with or wished turned out differently?

Aldo defeated Mendes via KO (knee) at 4:59 of round 1 to retain the UFC Featherweight Championship.

UFC 142: Aldo vs Mendes

So the next UFC fight is right around this corner and takes place this Saturday (14th January 2012) so it's about time for another post! The event will be taking place in the HSBC arena in Rio de Janerio, Brazil.  I have included the fight card below.  Not sure about anyone else but for me the fight i am most looking forward to watching is the Belfort match!  The guy can be an animal and rightly deserves his nickname of the 'The Phenom' if you ask me!
